This is an experiment I'm trying. I'm going to attempt to withdraw some of my winnings from 4 different sites (Carbon, Bodog, Doyles, and UltimateBet. As most of my friends here know, I'm a truly poor dude and haven't been in the position to deposit anywhere. This should prove to be quite interesting and we will see who gives me the run-a-round and which sites are straight shooters. I also wanted to withdraw some from Cake but they said they had a $500 minimum withdrawal policy, so that definitely leaves me far short there (lol). I started the processes today 2/8/10 and will keep you all informed of the progress. I might add that the reason for this experiment is that my time here on earth seems to be growing quite short now, and since I have no life insurance (just mortgage insurance to cover my house) I am hoping to recoup enough to cover cremation expenses so I won't leave it for someone else to have to cover. P.S. FullTilt wants photo ID and a utility bill and I don't have a scanner or fax, so if anyone has any suggestions please let me know how to handle that problem. May you all have continued good luck at the tables and God bless everyone here at PFO. Your friend Rodpoker.

Rod, I am saddened to read about your circumstances, and I hope to continue seeing you at the tables for a while yet.

Ar you withdrawing to an e-wallet or asking for checks? I can't speak to checks, but for e-wallets, Merge sites have been taking up to two weeks to approve withdrawals. In contrast to that, I requested a withdrawal from Power Poker (Cake network) on Saturday, and had it in my e-wallet on Sunday.

You can probably get things scanned at any insta-print place such as Kinko's. They'll charge you, of course, but I don't imagine it would be much.

Thanks Arjonius, your advice is greatly appreciated. Also, I'm asking for checks since I have no e-wallet or other accounts.

Well folks, after one day things look pretty gloomy. (1) Doyles has canceled my withdrawal request saying that I lack any account verification. I've played there for a couple of years but that means nothing to them I suppose. (2) Carbon has suspended processing my request stating that I need the photo ID and utility bill as proof of who I am. Again, I've played there for 2+ years but that means nothing to them either. UltimateBet says they have processed my request and thanked me for playing at their site (hooray for UB !). And Bodog has processed my request and says my check is in the works and should arrive in a few weeks ( a special thanks to Bodog is in order here!). So far I'm batting 2 for 6, not quite what I was hoping for but I'm not giving up yet and will be working on getting advice on the photo ID and utility bill documentation. This may prove quite challenging since I'm now mostly bed-ridden and can't leave the house, but oh-well this is a small deal compared to what's going on in my life at this time. I will continue to laugh at the bad luck and intend to kick ass on any adversity I face. HOORAH!!!

Bodog is good with checks. Got mine in 2 weeks or less.

Carbon is ridiculous. Still waiting for my check from them and its been almost 5 weeks. What a joke. As far as verification, don't you know someone with a printer/scanner that can email the id and bill to them for you?

Doyle's only required a phone call to verify, but that was before they were on the cake network, so I don't know what's up with them now.

Sorry to read about that Rod, all the best wishes.

About ID verification, i do not have scanner also, use a handycam to take a shot of my ID and utility bill, put a white paper on the table and then the ID on the paper to highligh, take 2 or 3 shots (front and back), uploaded to your files and check wish one looks best, do the same with utility bill. i use same ID photos to every site with out a problem, only requirement is that birthday and name looks clear, even tell me that can take the shot with a digital phone.

I upload 2 ID´s to avoid any problem, my card to vote and my drivers license, with the 2 and the utility bill should be no problem, hope that helps.

No problem, hope that this help you.

If the utility bill looks small because need to go far to get a shot of all the bill, then take another shot closer even if only half is cover and send both. Same with ID.

Need to have in mind that poker rooms only want to be sure that you are who you say you are, every time you use a credit card live is the same, need to show a ID to let them know is yours, so give them the most info you can.

Good luck.

Have you looked at the cost of using an e-wallet? I'm in Canada so my situation is different, but I use Moneybookers. There's a charge if I deposit to MB from my bank, credit card or whatever, but I've never done that. All the money there is withdrawals from poker sites. Those are free. So all I've ever paid is $5 (I think) when I requested a check from MB.

And good thinking Logan. I forgot that a while back when I didn't have a scanner handy, I sent photos of documents that I took with my cellphone cam. Don't remember to which site, but whichever one it was did accept them.

Well PFOers, I must give props where they are do and today they go to Bodog. I requested a withdrawal on 2/8/10 and today (2/12/10) the check arrived. Of the 9 sites where I have funds and requested a withdrawal, they are the only one to respond hassle free. UltimateBet says the check is on the way and the remaining sites are giving me the jump through hoops run-a-round. I say a huge "Thank You" to Bodog because I surely need the $$ and not the hassles.

Here's an update on my withdrawal travails. Today, one week after my withdrawal request, I received my check from UltimateBet! That makes Bodog and UltimateBet the only two sites who have honored my request for my money. I don't hold much hope for the other seven sites where I have funds at, but at least I can say Bo and UB were both prompt and courteous. You can rely on these two sites to pay out what is owed to you (and it took 4 days for Bodog and 7 days for UB).

Here is a summary of my withdrawal experiences. AP/UB, by check, very fast. Bodog, by check, at the speed of light. Full Filt by check, want documentation and then very fast. Cake, $500 by check, fast. Carbon & PokerNordai by check, over two months.

Using EwalletXpress: PokerPoker, DoylesRoom, IronDuke, Rio, Reefer, Spin32, RedStar, ThirdBullet, RPM, and Wass all very fast.

Pic-club: Poker Royale very fast.

Landshark and Poker4Ever very fast (money transfer to another EverLeaf site).

If the site requests documentation, use a digital camera to take a picture of it and upload it to your computer using a USB port. Spend them a copy of the jpeg image. This works great and is as fast as email.
