Well time to start playing my 1st casino trip. Wish Vegas or even Ac was an option but not yet. Harrah's Cherokee is a few hours away from me and a bunch of people I play poker with have been going up there and a few have been coming home with a very nice profit. Taking 200-500 up there and coming home triple. These are the same people that I play will all the time and I have a very very good ROI against so I figure I have to give it a shot.

while I haven't been to a casino before I am not exactly a rookie when it comes to live play. I play 1-4 times a week on avg. live, some combo of cash games and tournies, mostly cash games. All the same I am sure a casino and what I am used to is going to be completely different.

Think the thing that worries me most is with all the house games and local tournies the most I have ever even took with me was $200, never needed more. and am now planning on taking at least a few time more with me. The other thing is they still don't have live dealers, I was told they were planning on getting them but nothing yet. They have something like a CPU screen for every player and a community screen with board cards pot size and so on. I would much rather a dealer but being use to online play it shouldn't take to long to get used to. Just hoping this doesn't turnout to be an online cash table that I had to drive 4 hours to play lol.

I still haven't worked out how much money I will take but enough to play $4/2 or $2/1 would be all I would want i would imagine. But I also haven't checked to see what limits they offer either soooooo. Use to those stakes live so wouldn't have to adjust to calling a bunch of $50 preflop raises. Always takes me a little when I move up in online stakes to get use to the raises being so much higher. Trip is planned for the weekend after next and so ready to play. With the kind of success I have had playing live I am dying to see if I can do it at a casino to, with anything close to the same results as normal I may be planning a trip to Vegas sooner than I thought. lol. One can only hope.

An advise on what to expect coming from house games and online play mostly to a casino????

Just as I suspected, I am GREATTTTTTTT. Left out friday night when my buddy got off work and got to the casino around 2 am. Had been up since 5:45 that morning but couldn't help myself. Checked in and got my bag in the room and headed down to play at 2:30 in the morning. Didn't take but a few mins to get used to the machines there. Sat with $200 cashed out at 4:30 with $565. not to bad at all $300 in 2 hours. Went back up to the room and slept for 2 1/2 hours and was back in my seat at 8 am. Again sat with $200 played 2 hours left with $390, still averaging over $100 and hour. Went and packed up and had breakfast, we decided since they were supposed to get a lot of snow we shouldn't stay saturday night. The way I was running I was ready to stay and rent a plow to get me home though lol.

Had my first horrible run after breakfast, Kings reraised all-in for close to 100 with 78 suited flop j78 and turn and river brought no help. Terrible session dropped most of my winnings in under an hour. But had the sense to walk away. Took a break for a few hours. Plays some video poker and slots. then decided before we left I will give it one more shot. Had a little over $300 left so I say back down at the same table I ran like crap on with $150. there was no looking back. Stayed for 2 hours or so and left the table with just short of $900. It is a shame that I didn't walk away from my bad run sooner but still 6-7 hours play with $600 plus profit after the 100 I dumped in the slots that I shouldn't have done and giving my buddy a 100 to rebuy and get his money back, which he did. I can't complain and am already planning the next trip. Come Summer when the kid is out of school I will prob be there every weekend. Side job.........

I couldn't help myself, when he did it he bet enough to put me all-in but wasn't quite all-in himself so. After a nice long slow roll just started typing in... NUTS NUTS NUTS. Then called lol

Been playing mostly live lately but still manage to squeeze in a few hands online...

Had a little time to play around. This guy limp called from UTG with this mess and reraised on the flop. Then called my all-in on turn for almost the pot. WTF was he thinking

Don't know who would have said that. lol Played a house game last night and the 2nd biggest pot i was in I took down with 23 suited, lol biggest was 45 suited.

Haven't been playing much lately and barely anything online but I did sit down for a session yesterday. And took down my two biggest pots on tilt so far. One over 100 and the other over 200. Kinda made me miss playing.

Very nice!!! Look on the bright side, you get the enjoyment once in a while without the daily grind of suckouts and bad luck.
